Today we went for the first time to Chuck E Cheeses for a birthday party. It was our little friend Jaymee's 3rd birthday. It was very crowded but lots of fun. Garrett walked around and around and just loved watching all of the kids and activities. He did really well on the Bog the Builder tractor, but he didn't like it when I turned on any of the other machines. He cried on the airplane and the Barney car as soon as I turned them on. He liked them better when they were still. After playing for a little while, we were called over for lunch. He ate two pieces of sausage pizza and a piece of chocolate cake. He was in total ahh of the big mousing walking around saying hi to everyone. There was a fake one that would turn on and wave every few minutes so Garrett would walk up to it and wave back each time. Too cute! When the real one was walking around he didn't want to get too close. Towards the end of the party while we were walking around all the games I pulled a muscle in my back when I bent down to play with Garrett at the ski-ball game. I think I was trying to juggle the camera on one arm and the cup of tokens while holding on to him - ouch!! It was a painful drive home, but at least Garrett fell asleep so I just had to put him straight to bed. Good thing he was really out since I just plopped him in his crib. While he was sleeping I started to organize all of my scrapbooking stuff and make Grandma Faure's birthday gift. Shhhh we won't say anything until she gets it later this week!
Later that night after Daddy got home from work we went over to Jeff & Jill's for dinner. Garrett got to play in the pool and the slip-n-slide with the girls. We didn't get home until about 9:45. Daddy had to put Garrett to bed since I could hardly move! Time to pop some Advil and go to bed.
Here are some pics from the party...
